30 Years in the Royal Air Force as an Air Defence Operator, which became Aerospace Systems Operator then Aerospace Systems Manager. One tour on the AWACS E3D, starting on 8 Sqn, then taking on the role as a Fighter Controller and the Sqn Warrant Officer for the newly reformed 23 Sqn at RAF Waddington.
After retirement, I pottered around Spain for a few years and the joined the newly formed RAF Families Federation (RAF FF) at Wittering. Starting off as the Evidence Assistant, I later took on the role as the Evidence Manager and the Deputy to the Director of the RAF FF.
Now fully retired and settled in Northumberland, still jumping at every chance to go flying with some very good friends.
